VALD Acquires BridgeAthletic: Creating the world’s most advanced performance technology platform

This is a defining moment for our industry… Together we are unifying the entire performance workflow into one platform.

Laurie Malone, Co-Founder and CEO of VALD

VALD today announced that it has acquired US-based BridgeAthletic, a world-leading human performance platform. This follows VALD’s announcement last week of the acquisition of GymAware, setting the stage to create the world’s most comprehensive, advanced and accessible performance technology platform.

[VALD’s acquisitions of BridgeAthletic and GymAware] represent a landmark moment in the evolution of performance technology…

The transactions represent a landmark moment in the evolution of performance technology, bringing together objective measurement, real-time training data and program design into a single connected platform. Laurie Malone, CEO and Co-Founder, VALD said:

This is a defining moment for our industry. By bringing together the best technology in measurement, velocity tracking and program delivery, we are creating a single, connected system that has never previously existed.

For too long, coaches and practitioners have had to stitch together multiple tools and datasets. This changes that. Together we are unifying the entire performance workflow into one platform – powered by the most comprehensive dataset in the industry.

The result is simple: better decisions, better outcomes and ultimately, better performance.

About BridgeAthletic

Founded in 2012, BridgeAthletic has grown into one of the most widely adopted, trusted and powerful strength and conditioning software platforms in the world, supporting thousands of teams and hundreds of thousands of athletes globally.

With more than five million workouts completed through the platform, BridgeAthletic enables coaches to seamlessly design, deliver and analyze training programs while connecting performance data across an organization.

From the beginning, Bridge has been about giving great coaches the software to build and deliver world-class training programs. We’re excited to join VALD, which has set the gold standard in performance measurement. Together, we raise the bar for coaches everywhere.

Creating a New Global Standard in Performance Technology

VALD’s integrated systems are already used by thousands of elite organizations worldwide to measure and monitor human performance, from strength and movement to balance and rehabilitation. With the addition of BridgeAthletic – amplified by the recent addition of GymAware – VALD will extend its capabilities across the full performance lifecycle:

  • Measure: Gold-standard objective testing (VALD core systems)
  • Monitor: Real-time training data and velocity tracking (GymAware)
  • Manage and Prescribe: Program design and athlete management workflows (BridgeAthletic)

The integration of these systems will create a fully connected ecosystem, enabling performance professionals to move seamlessly from testing → prescribing → execution → analysis within a single workflow.

The Most Powerful System Ever Built for Coaches

By bringing these capabilities together, VALD will combine unmatched measurement precision, the industry’s largest and most comprehensive performance dataset and end-to-end workflow integration across the weight room and clinic.

This unified system will allow coaches and practitioners to deliver individualized training programs informed by objective data, monitor performance and fatigue in real time, close the loop between assessment and prescription and streamline operations through one central system and point of contact.

The combination of VALD’s world-leading objective measurement systems and BridgeAthletic’s programming and performance platform creates a powerful feedback loop where data automatically informs training decisions.

VALD and Bridge are two of the companies I respect most in this space. Seeing them come together is really exciting – it’s a great outcome for the coaches and athletes on both sides.

A Defining Moment for the Industry

The acquisitions represent one of the most (if not the most) significant mergers in performance technology to date, bringing together category-leading products across the entire performance and coaching spectrum. While the performance technology market has historically been fragmented – spanning testing hardware, athlete monitoring systems and coaching software – these acquisitions mark a decisive shift toward platform consolidation.

VALD’s strategy is to build the definitive system of choice for human performance, spanning elite sport, private performance facilities, clinical and rehabilitation settings and tactical and defense environments.

We could not be more excited to deliver this vision to our current and future clients and the industry as a whole.
