Meet the QUT-ACU Hamstring Injury Group

Posted January 12, 2015 by in News

The QUT-ACU Hamstring Injury Group is a collaboration of world-leading researchers in exercise science, dedicated to discovering the causes of hamstring injuries, and ultimately preventing them.

Borne out of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), the group is led by Dr. Anthony Shield of QUT who has over 17 years of experience in the field.  In the course of their research, Anthony and David wanted to test eccentric hamstring strength during the Nordic Hamstring Curl exercise, but no product was available to accurately do so.  So with Anthony’s creative lead, they created the first NordBord.

Their group continues to conduct world-leading research into causes and solutions for hamstring injuries, and the NordBord now plays a pivotal role in providing them with accurate data to interpret.
